Splendor of bamboo:
Bamboo grows fast. While timber takes 50 years, bamboo can be used after 5 years. It helps reduce demand for wood and preserves forests.

Structure:
Bamboo has beauty, strength, and flexibility. Unlike wood, its fibers are aligned and flexible, preventing cracks. Bamboo-sheath is used around the wing to ensure smoothness and stabilize airflow. Rectangle-shaped wings represent "Japan" (edges covered with bamboo-sheath).

Wing Edge The wing is wrapped with bamboo-sheath to maintain strength and beauty.
Flight performance:
Rings of 15-20 meters. Throw vertically in wind. If return is poor, throw at a slight angle (circle size reduces).

Catch safely by sandwiching between both hands.

How to throw boomerangs: See Japan Boomerang Association (Japanese).
